Psalm 23 v 5 the bible teaches that there are powers and there is a power but the ultimate power is of God psalm 91 v 1 . The Almighty has all powers, and in case you want to know if power passes power read exodus 7 v 10-12. When we talk about the powers of God there are levels; Elijah was a mighty man of God in 2 kings 1 v 9- 12, some soldier came to arrest Elijah, he just said roast and they were roasted. But in the case of Elisha, in 2 kings 6 – 17 when a whole army came to arrest he showed how superior how his powers are by arresting the arrested and led them to the enemy territory, the king said shall I kill them? He said no, feed them and send them away. Power passes power!
God has several ways of dealing with his enemy; he can bury them alive, like korah, Dathan and Abiram. He can bomb them from heaven like in Joshua 10 v 9-11. But to me I think one of the sweetest was when God demonstrated his power is in Psalm 23 v 5 those who say you will not reach the top, they will come and beg you for food.
The main question is what am I to do to get superior powers? To start with, before talking about the power of God, or before talking about psalm 23 v 5, he is a shepherd of sheep not of goat.
Jesus was never the shepherd of goat, he is only the shepherd of sheep, He said in John 10 v 27 He said my sheep hears my voice not my goat, no goat among his flock, because those that will call themselves the sheep of the Almighty God, they all had one characteristic; very obedient to God. Luke 6 v 46 Jesus Christ said how do you call me Lord, Lord and do no things I command you. If you are not going to obey Him, don’t open your mouth and call Him your Shepherd. After you have surrender to Him, after you do whatever He asked you to do then you can ask Him for a power, the power He gives is for a purpose like in Luke 8 1 v 8.
You are to use the power to obey Him in witnessing, to advertise him to the world. If you now want more than ordinary power you want superior power, the secret is simple; you must be extraordinarily involve in evangelism, you must be passionate in evangelism, Act 5 v 14- 16.
What makes Peter special? It is that when others are enjoying speaking in tongue, he is the one who is always standing up to preach, or take Paul the apostle in Act 19 v 11-12, God perform special miracle by the hand of Paul from his body, apron and handkerchief was taking to the sick. Demons saw the handkerchief and ran, because Paul was always witnessing.
It will amaze you that it is Peter and Paul that raises the dead, there is the power for healing head, another for healing cancer, and another for raising the dead, power is in stages.
If you want superior power you must be holy, read Hebrew 5 v 9. But the two are linked, you cannot say you are holy if you are not witnessing, because Jesus gave a command, “go ye into the world and win souls”, it is a direct command.
So you are an incurable soul winner, you live a life of purity and holiness, all you need is to ask that your cup of power to be full and over flow.
I have never in my life since I became born again, want to be an ordinary Christian, If I am going to be a Christian; I want to be a powerful one, I want to be so powerful that even the devil will know. Some of you know my prayer concerning power, I told the Almighty God, double the power of Elisha, double the power of Elijah, double the power of Peter, double the power of Paul, double the power of Jesus Christ when he was here on earth, add all of them together and double them again, that is what I want. I don’t know what you want?
God doesn’t give His power to dirty people, people who are in sin, he is a holy God. It is not enough to be blessed, it is better to be a blessing. Think how wonderful it will be if all of us leave here with the power to raise the dead.

1. Father, don’t let your stripe be wasted, everything that is not of you in my body please uproot it in Jesus name.
