TOPIC: COME UP HIGHER
JOHN 5 V 2-9 One day unexpectedly his jubilee , his jubilee came because Jesus came by and saw him and say come up higher and he asked him to come up higher and immediately he was healed. Come up higher could be lighter of two things; it could either be an invitation or a command.
The one who is going to ask you to come higher; must have been in a higher place himself. Psalm 91 v 1. Eccl 5 v 8 calls him the one who is higher than the highest. He is higher than all of us. The one who is calling to come up higher must have the ability to help you climb. He must also have the power to deal with those forces that are trying to hold you down.
You must be willing to come up higher; you must obey the one who asked you to come up higher according to Isaiah 5 v 19. When God calls you to come up higher, you must have faith in God Heb. 11 v 6, Mark 9 v 23. When God calls you to come up higher, you must make all the necessary efforts to go up higher even if all you can do is to pray.
Everybody knows that life is in levels; there is the level of the poor, the level of the comfortable, the rich, the wealthy, the prosperous, the flourishing I don’t know which level you are today, but in the name that is every other names level will change tonight in Jesus name. . The rich save money, the wealthy put money in fixed deposit, and the prosperous lends to nation.
There are levels when you are talking about health, the sick, those who are healed, those who are healthy and they don’t even know what is called headache, and there are the levels of those who if they touched you at all , you will be healed, they carry the healing virtue.
There is the level of the healing handkerchief. Act 19 v 11-12 tells us that from the body of Paul handkerchief were taken to the sick and they were healed. There is the level of the healing voice, just speak the word and it is done.
You can move from the healing voice to the healing shadow Act 5 v 14-16 tells us the shadow of peter was healing the sick.
We talk about greatness there are levels, Abraham was great his son was very great, his grandson was exceedingly great, you may be great already, God says come up higher, you may be greater already; God says come up higher let’s make you exceedingly great. There is another level from success to great success, from Great success to frightening success according to Luke 5 v 1 -11
There are also levels of victories; from victory to great victory, from great victory to victory without a fight. Then there is victory that will frighten the victor.
There are Levels of joy; from sad to happy, from joy to great joy then exceeding great joy according to Matthew 2 v 10. Then Joy unspeakable, it’s so great you can’t even say it out.
When God gives you an invitation; you have a choice, you can refuse an invitation. Even when he commands you, you have a choice to obey or disobey. But tonight, since you have taken all the troubles to come, don’t refuse the invitation of God.
How will I know that I will go higher? The bible says the just shall live by faith. You are going to pray by faith tonight.
